Acupuncture is the practice of inserting very fine needles at various specific locations or acupoints, at angles and depths in order to stimulate energy at specific anatomical structures in the body for therapeutic purposes. The needles, unlike familiar hypodermic injection needles which are thick and hollow, are extremely fine and thus generally painless, in fact you can place more than a fourty acupuncture needles inside the average hypodermic needle. Needles are generally left in place for up to thirty minutes while the patient relaxes. Diane has been trained in various styles of acupuncture treatment not only from China, but also from Taiwan Korea & Japan.

Electro-acupuncture is the application of a pulsating electrical current to the acupuncture needles as a means of gently stimulating acupoints. It is commonly used for the treatment of neurological diseases, including chronic pain, spasm, and paralysis. By overloading the pain signals or activating impulses to release neurotransmitters, electro-acupuncture is especially effective with these problems.
The electrical current used in microcurrent stimulation is similar to the electrical activity that happens within the body's cells. Therapists believe that this current can jump start an ailing cell's regular electrical activity, will boost the cells' ability to rid themselves of waste products and raise the levels of nourishment and oxygenation by increasing blood flow and restore normal functioning. By restoring normal functioning, the therapy can help heal muscle and bone tissue, repair ligaments and tendons, and prevent muscle atrophy.
Electro Facial Stimulation is a special technique used to help reduce wrinkles, stimulate muscle tone of the face. A cutting-edge treatment used by many celebrities and high profile people, it is now available at affordable prices.Electro Muscle Stimulation, commonly called TENS (Transdermal electric neural stimulation) isi used by MD's, Chiropractors and physical therapists to cause controlled muscle contractions.
Recently studies at the Susan Samueli Center for Integrative Medicine at UC Irvine have shown that electrical stimulation can lower elevated blood pressure by as much as 50 percent.

CuppingFire Cupping is a method of treatment that involves heating the air inside a special glass cup and placing the inverted cup on part of the body. A vacuum is created, which anchors the cup to the skin and pulls the skin upward into the cup causing tissues to release toxins. This activates the lymphatic system which helps clear colon blockages, can reduce stretch marks, improve varicose veins, diminish swellings and pain by warming and promoting the free flow of qi and blood.
Cupping is used in the treatment of respiratory diseases , the common cold, pneumonia, and bronchitis. It is also used to treat back, neck, shoulder, and other musculoskeletal pain.
This technique, in varying forms, has also been found in the folk medicine of Korea, Vietnam, the Balkans, modern Greece, Mexico, and Russia. Cupping was also commonly used as a Eastern European Jewish folk remedy. This has become very popular recently with many hollywood celebrities showing off their cupping marks.

MoxibustionMoxibustion is believed to have originated in the northern part of China and Mongolia, where winters are dominated by icy chilliness and wind. Moxibustion has been used to treat various illnesses and degenerative diseases caused by or aggravated by the extreme cold climate.
In indirect Moxibustion a practitioner lights one end of a moxa stick, that is made from mugwort which is in the sage family, and roughly the shape and size of a cigar and holds it an inch or two away from the skin to bring mild warmth to the area, until the skin becomes slightly red. This induces a gradual localized vasodilation, increasing the blood flow. Most patients find it extremely comforting and fall into deep relaxation.
Moxa is very effective for many diseases and conditions including back pain, muscle stiffness, headaches, migraines, tendonitis, arthritis, digestive disorders, anxiety, and female health problems such as menstrual cramps, irregular periods, and infertility.
There are hospitals in Japan and China dedicated to the use of Moxabustion.
Infra-red Mineral Lamp TherapyThe TDP Far-Infrared Therapeutic Lamp with its unique 33 mineral ceramic plate emits electromagnetic waves in the infrared range of between 2 and 25 microns. The absorbed energy promotes microcirculation and strengthens the immune system as well as relaxing and relieving pain in the body. Often combined with acupuncture it stimulates the points at the treatment location, as well as stimulating microcirculation which results in the delivery of higher levels of oxygen and nutrients to injured tissues, Other benefits are increased blood circulation and metabolism, decreased inflammation and edema from soft tissue injuries and promotion of healing. Used to treat various disorders including arthritis, sciatica, lumbago, irregular menstruation, dysmenorryea and eczema.
Since far infrared promotes blood circulation, it causes the expansion of capillary vessels. Therefore, it assists in tissue detoxification and improved efficiency in the lymphatic system.

Light enters the body as photons (energy) and then is absorbed by the photoreceptors within the cell. Photons strike the damaged tissue including skin, blood, muscle and bone and create a cellular response, which reduces pain then jumpstarts the healing process. The specrum of light is especiallly effective for treating wounds, cuts that are close to the surface of the skin and relieves minor muscle and joint aches and pains. These photon stimulators have very popular for facial rejuvinataion and also used by estheticians at beauty spas.
